Programa Novos Curadores divulga Selecionados

O Programa Novos Curadores divulga os nomes dos seis candidatos selecionados pelos orientadores Cauê Alves, Cristiana Tejo e Franz Manata, bem como pela coordenação do Programa. São eles: Daniela dos Passos Miranda Name, Eduardo Bayer Knopman, Erica Rodrigues, Fernanda Cardoso Lopes, Paula Borghi de Mendonça e Renan Lucas Lúcio de Araujo.
Foram 65 inscritos, com idades entre 20 e 50 anos, de vários Estados (SP, MG, RJ, PR, RS, SC, BA, PE, CE e DF). As propostas recebidas exploraram questões como: corpo, espaço/lugar, brasilidade, novas tecnologias, relações entre arte e narrativa, intersecção entre arte e música ou política, e o questionamento de suportes como pintura, desenho, grafitti, fotografia, vídeo e performance.
Na próxima etapa, que irá de 19 de julho a 18 de outubro de 2010, os seis candidatos escolhidos iniciarão o desenvolvimento dos projetos, partindo da conceituação até a seleção das obras, elaboração de textos de apresentação e disposição das obras no espaço expositivo. O processo ocorrerá por meio de encontros e debates virtuais, sob a orientação e interlocução dos orientadores e designers.
A partir do final do próximo mês de agosto estará no ar o website do programa www.novoscuradores.com.br, canal por meio do qual o público poderá conhecer os bastidores da criação e organização de uma exposição de arte, além de poder comentar e interagir com os novos curadores e contribuir com assuntos para o blog, que trará discussões e informações sobre o mundo das exposições, curadoria e arte contemporânea.
O projeto de exposição final será escolhido por meio da votação do público (pelo site do Programa) e de uma comissão de seleção composta pelos orientadores, pela coordenação do Programa, durante os dias 19 a 22 de outubro de 2010, e será apresentado no Paço das Artes, com inauguração prevista para o dia 25 de janeiro de 2011.
O Programa
Idealizado pela curadora Rejane Cintrão, o programa Novos Curadores é um laboratório de criação e discussão sobre curadoria e arte contemporânea brasileira que procura aproximar o público leigo do processo de criação de uma mostra de arte. O programa é uma realização da Expomus, em correalização com o Paço das Artes e parceria do Santander.
