Museu: o diálogo entre a arte e a ciência

Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci (1452–1519) foi um polímata italiano, uma das figuras mais importantes do Alto Renascimento, que se destacou como cientista, matemático, engenheiro, inventor, anatomista, pintor, escultor, arquiteto, botânico, poeta e músico. Leonardo frequentemente foi descrito como o arquétipo do homem do Renascimento, alguém cuja curiosidade insaciável era igualada apenas pela sua capacidade de invenção. É considerado um dos maiores pintores de todos os tempos, e como possivelmente a pessoa dotada de talentos mais diversos a ter vivido.1

Há algum tempo o Museu deixou de ser considerado um templo do passado ou mesmo um repositório de antiguidades. Ao contrário, é hoje tido como um poderoso indicador de usos e costumes, de tendências, de prospecções sobre o futuro.

Mais recentemente, descobriu-se também que o Museu não é apenas um arsenal de obras similares, iguais, ou tipologicamente afins. Agora somos obrigados a reconhecer os tênues limites entre a arte e a ciência, entre o erudito e o popular, entre o design e a arquitetura, entre a história e a antropologia, entre a psicanálise e a vida. Todos os talentos, as dúvidas e as referências convivem hoje no mundo complexo dos museus. Aliás, é o que lhes dá cada vez mais graça, vitalidade, e o que desperta o interesse de milhões de visitantes em todo o mundo.

A obra de arte, e as relações estéticas estabelecidas entre elas, têm o poder de provocar um descolamento entre o homem e seu cotidiano, entre o presente e o futuro, entre o ontem e o amanhã. Redefinem novas possibilidades de nos relacionar com as pessoas, de conviver harmonicamente com o meio ambiente, enfim, de tentar melhor compreender e até mesmo recriar o mundo que nos cerca.

Para garantir este estado latente e instigante em que a arte e a ciência não só convivem, mas se mesclam e até mesmo se contrapõem, basta que possamos continuar a contar com os museus como territórios da inovação, do experimento e do conhecimento.

Quando vemos as corporações mundiais em busca de experiências de formação que possam capacitar seus líderes a buscar soluções inovadoras, a decidir com rapidez, a compartilhar conhecimento, a construir parcerias, a serem competentes em negociação, a serem sensíveis a novos mercados, a experimentar novos rumos, a terem a capacidade de ousar, vemos que os experimentos de arte e a ciência certamente terão muito a lhes ensinar. Talvez seja suficiente lhes possibilitar o acesso aos museus, para que a arte e a ciência fluam, enquanto plataformas orgânicas, sensíveis e insondáveis do amanhã.
